Tripper Tuesday: Philadelphia (Part II)
Good day and welcome to Tripper Tuesday on Metro Transit Archives. Last week was part I of a series of photos from Philadelphia. Today, I present part II so let's get to it.
8006 pictured passing new and renovated buildings on 19th Street
8009 squeezes by cars and despite the sign, it is in service on Route 17
8518 breezes across Washington Street on Route 2 with part of Center City Philadelphia skyline
8277 hangs a tight left turn from 15th to Washington as the operator is behind schedule
8057 on Route 4, formerly C outbound to Pattison
5442 a little further up on Broad capturing a bit of sunlight
Elder statesmen 7142 fills in on a Route 27 run with city hall looming in the background
8662, then on a rare Saturday appearance, is seen at 15th & Market
5558, a former Comly district bus, now assigned to Southern on Route 17
7307 bends around the back end of City Hall and onto Market East
8024, a MCI D4000 on its way out of Philadelphia via Market, picks up passengers on 8th Street
8669 also at 8th Street heading to South Philadelphia
Next stop was 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby. Here is Routes 110, 112, and 123 awaiting departure.
Separated by 10 years, 8475 is ready for an in-service run on Route 21 while 5456 awaits its turn
